Can you help with birthday gift ideas for our 15 year old niece?

Q. She's not very girly. We really have no idea what are the things a 15 year old, non-girly girl simply has to have these days. Our budget is about $100. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A. A gift card is probably the best idea. It may not seem personal, but $100 is a lot of money for a 15 year old and it gives her the freedom to pick out her own stuff. You can pick a store if you can find out her favorites or even better you can buy a prepaid Visa (available at Walmart and other stores) so she can spend the money anywhere that accepts Visa.

What homemade gifts could I make for a 12 year old girl?
Q. I was wondering what kind of cute and inexpensive things I could make for a 12 year old girl for her birthday party. I want them to be simple but not expensive and I also want the homemade gift ideas to have common things people would have I don't want to have to go to the store and spend much money. Thanks so much!!
Please no mean, nasty, or comments of stupidity or you will be reported.

A. Make a model of some sort! The easiest thing to do would be to make a papercraft model of what she likes. Whether she's flowers and rainbows or skulls and crossbones, there will definitely be something on the internet. If you do decide on this, you will need .rar and .pdo support: for .rar WinRAR http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR-32-bit/3000-2250_4-10007677.html and Pepakura for .pdo http://pepakura-viewer.software.informer.com/download/

.rar files give you templates for the model and .pdo files show 3D and 2D versions of the model, showing where the tabs join.

Happy birthday to her!

What do I get my four year old niece for her birthday?
Q. My niece is turning four and I'm her only blood-related Aunt. She's also my only sibling's kid. Her fourth birthday is coming up and I want to get her something however I'm in college and don't have a lot of money. What are good cheap gift ideas that a four year old will love?

She loves princesses, drawing, outdoors, disney, and doing girly things.

A. I have noticed these are big hits

-Play-doh -cheap and tons of little accessories to play with
-Bubbles - there are also a lot of accessories to go with bubbles and cheap
-Mr. Potato Head- Wal-Mart will have a set for around $5 and you can get other charaters with other pieces too.
-Barbie and Ken dolls - basic beach dolls are only $4-5 each
-Big Bouncy balls
-sidewalk chalk
-books
-coloring/sticker books
-crayons
-princess dresses for dress up
-princess dress up accessories -crown, shoes, jewelry etc.
-princess tea set

You can get the sidewalk chalk, bubbles and accessories, balls, books, coloring books etc. all at the Dollar Store for very cheap and you can make a little gift basket for her for under 10 dollars with TONS of stuff!! You can then buy a doll or something educational at a toy store with the rest of your budget.

Good Luck!
