Any Christmas gift suggestions for my boyfriend?

Q. He is a baseball player and has been on the Oakley website a lot lately. I know he needs and wants new sunglasses for baseball. (Yes, those really nerdy and ugly ones that they wear). But I also have the idea of making a scrapbook of us and getting all of his favorite things. I feel like those are birthday gifts rather than Christmas gifts. I'm stumped, any help would be nice!

A. Men love fashion and the sense of fame just like women do. So in my opinion a luxury watch with 50% off will delight him a lot. Like a piece of Rolex watch? Do you agree?

Can you please suggest how to celebrate 1 year old birthday?
Q. I dont like the idea of throwing a party when its waste because child cant enjoy that I can see doing that when they are 2 or older.
should we take her to vacation? I dont mind her getting cake and gift but i dont like the idea of throwing a birthday party
My family will travel during my child birthday. We recently just moved to this state so dont know anyone much.

A. A child's first birthday isn't about the child having fun. It is about friend and family celebrating the first year of live of the little one they love and what a blessing they are to the family!!! The party is for the parents and grandparents to talk about the first year, the birth, the first weeks, and how much has change is just 12 months. They go from helpless little babes to people! We have HUGE parties for our babies, invite all our friends and family (minimum of 45-50 guests). We supply the meat and vegetables and everyone usually brings a side dish. We have cake and cookies and ice cream. And, of course, the smash cake. We decorate and set out his photo album and baby book for everyone to look through. It is a wonderful day, our youngest son will have his first birthday next month!!

Edit: You don't have to make it about gifts...We allow immediate family to gift, but ask other's to either donate a toy to the children's hospital or make a monetary donation to Riley's, St. Jude's House, The Women's Center or another child centered charity in his honor. He has everything he needs and most of what he could want...other children don't...

What are some good birthday ideas for my mom's 50th?
Q. It will be in June, in Denver, and want to do something everyone can come enjoy, maybe outside. It's 50 so it's a big deal, any good ideas? Are there traditional things to do for a 50th?

A. I don't know of traditional things but I live in the metro Denver area and just turned 60! Maybe a great picnic in one of our parks - possibly try for O'Kane in Lakewood, they have pavilions (in case it rains) and it is really well set up for games, and has good parking - would be fun for everyone
Additionally, although you all can't share in this, 50 is a big deal for most women whether they admit it or not. So, a GREAT gift for your mom would be a day at a spa - there are several in the Denver area, or even just a pedicure or massage - something that pampers her and gives her an emotional and physical "lift". Just don't forget the day!!! Good luck
