I want to buy a birthday gift for a 5 year old girl, but I'm not sure which ones they like lately. Can you give some ideas?

I have a 5 year old little sister. She likes anything girly, baby dolls, barbies, zoobles, squinkes. There is so many cool toys for young children, you almost can't go wrong.

What would you get a 5 year old and a 1 year old as a birthday gift?

Okay it's my boyfriends neisse and nephews birthday. One is on the 31st and the other is on the 1st. The soon to be 5 year old is a girl and the soon to be 1 year old is a boy. What should we get that's between 10 and 15 dollars for each of them? Any ideas would be helpful :)
