Q. My friends gave me a baby rabbit as a birthday gift. I gave him a green leafy vegetable (known as "pechay" in the philippines). he eats 2 leaves a day. can he live with that?He is currently 4 weeks old.
A. listen, and listen closely, you really NEED to do alot of research on rabbit care, you need to take it back to its mother, there's NO substitute for mothers rabbits milk.
go to: the house rabbit society, they have a website, they have tons of usefull information on rabbit care, but your rabbit NEEDS to be on his mother milk for at least two more weeks!!!!
we have a bunny in our house and we did research for like a month before we got ours, so you're already behind on proper rabbit care knowledge, also, that vegatable you're feeding him could contiain too much water, and could cause diareah, whis could lead to death in such a young bunny,
you really need to know that rabbits digestive systems are extremely, fragile and many common everyday fruits and vegatables are actually poisonous to rabbits, so like I said, do your homework to find out wich ones are safe.
as for everyday food you must have rabbit pellets(i highly recomend "buckeye" brand pellets), also, they must have "timothy hay" it has the fiber they need for their delicut digestive systems.
and you should also know that rabbits are social creatures that need exersize, you can't just put them in a cage outside, and drop food in their cage, they have to be let out to run around you home for at least three(our bunny is out of his cage whenever anybody is home and awake, to keep an eye on him). and you should keep their cage in your house/apartment, they truly are best suited as indoor pets.
and another thing, NEVER EVER give your rabbit a bath!!!!
rabbits are very clean animals and don't smell(as long as you keep their cage and litterboxes(you should have at least two, one for inside his cage, and one for in the room that it spends the most time while he's out of his cage.)
if your rabbit does smell it's prabably bad in his diet, go to a vet(it should be a vet that specializes in small animals)
giving someone a rabbit as a pet on a whim or for a present when that person really isnt ready/capable is generally a terrible idea, and most people dont know how to take proper care of them and they die, either that or they end up in animal shelter,and then end up way worse off then if they hadn't been given someone not able to do what was best for them when they had the chance
you really should just take it back to where your friends got it, it's the best thing for the rabbit, and you should do it as soon as possible!!!!!

Anyone interested, helping children in poverty?
Q. Hi, i have had an idea to write letters to children in a less fortunate country then the one i am currently in. I have searched and searched the internet but have not found any websites like this. If i contacted all possible orphanages, would anyone be interested in trying to get a group like this set up, where we simply write to a child and give them love and support, maybe sending them small gifts at christmas or birthdays. of 10 kids: four in Mexico, four in Guatamala and two in the
Philippines.
It doesn't cost a lot to do it. In fact, it will take a lot more of
