Birthday gift ideas for teenager?

I need to get my friend a present, she'll be 15 soon, and I have no idea what to get her.
People always say to me "think of something you would want", but i don't really know :/.

She's not really into make up, or stuff like that. Likes older music like The Smiths, Led Zeppelin etc, and I guess you could say she was sort of indie.

I didn't really want to spend more than £10, because I don't have much money at the moment, but any ideas are welcome, links would be even better.
Thank you

Answer

if you want the LONG answer (and i'm not kidding) look for my post on "Good Birthday Present For a Teenager?"... but you probably don't want the long answer, so i'll try to shorten it up this time :)

At 15, all the grown-ups give you "the cool stuff"- whatever the trends are now... get her something that's really out of the norm! you should know your best friend well enough to guess most of what she would/wouldn't like...

a movie- like a little-kid-o-m-g-haven't-seen-that-for-ages-disney movie. The little mermaid, cinderella, mulan, beauty and the beast...

sew a pillow- one of my friends gave me one they made last year, and it was so nice, that they put all the effort into it... if you're working with less than a week, this is one of the fastest things you can make. Buy half a yard of pretty fabric and some stuffing, cut out two identical rectangles (or hearts, circles.. just something simple, ok?) sew them (inside out) most of the way, turn it right side out, stuff it, sew the last part (by hand, try to learn the blanket stitch so it's hidden)

a music cd mix... especially songs that make you think of them or make them think of you. try to mix genres, too!

those little silicone bracelets for a cause they support (lots of charities have them, like animal rescue site for animal lovers, but you might have to go local for the sake of getting one by friday) get yourself one too, they'll be glad you're supporting it!

anything (that you can afford) that makes you think of them. Fairy lamp, paw print neckace, a kangaroo charm if they have a charm bracelet, butterfly hair clips....
