Hi: I raised three kids, two girls and one boy. I gave my kids bday parties until age 11- or 12. some fun things for boy parties; think of a theme. Your 6 year old has a favorite sport, cartoon or interest area. Educational themes, verses commercial themes were a favorite of mine. A dollar store or party store in your home town can also be an idea builder. Little boys almost always like dinosausors. For example sake, lets use dinosauors. Plan several activities to keep the party moving. Set a time limit, an hour and a half with 6 little boys can be exhausting, (unless it is like a family barbacue also). Plan an agenda, and it will help you and the kids have a good time. Start the party with an opening activity: free play: in a yard or park with swing set is nice, or playdough at a table, if you must be inside. Once all the guests have arrived get the party going with the first group activity. Kids this age ususally know the drill with what to expect with party games. I was amazed that my 13 year old daughter still wanted to play "drop the clothes pins" in the jar at her bday party. Then move to the next game, toss across, pin the tail on the dinosaur (they seem to love the blind fold), freeze tag. ASk your six year old to help plan his favorite games. Play 3 games then move to the song, blow out the candels, cake and ice cream. 6 yr. old boys are active so cake can turn into a food fight, so keep this short. If they are playing in it, its time for clean up. if you are out side a bucket full of water and paper towell can be a quick fix for sticky hands.
Then move to another game, since they have an overwhellming amount of energy, try an active game of tag, or short 2 on two races, or let them play if they are at the park or back yard. Boys love squirt guns in the summer. Use caution, it seems that there is always one kid in the bunch that is too rough, and someone gets hurt. Kids this age are conditioned to a school bell ringing, so ringing a bell can be very effective when it is time to change activities. Also, a good way to get kids attention is to tell them something like, "I need your eyes up here", or "let me see your eyes". It is a good idea to always communicate 100 times; what the next activity will be, what the plan is, and what you want in behavior, (ie: I want everyone sitting down for cake) Name tags can help tremendously call kids by name. Compliment the kids that are corroperating. (ie: suzie is sitting nicely and ready for cake).Open the gifts if you think the boys can hang in there with a sitting down time. If they are too active, it can be alot to ask little boys to sit still while someone else gets toys. If you are inside, think about having some legos, books, available for the fitgeting ones to have something quiet to do in the back of the room. Let the bday boy give the goody bags as the kids leave. It is a good way to get out of any complaining from kids, (ie: hey, its not fair they have a bigger bag than I do)

we are a gang of six friends-2 boys(tarun and akhilesh) and 4 girls(vyshnavi, suchitra, mridulla and smriti).for our friend mridulla, all the 5 of us planned a birthday surprise at school based on my idea of giving her 16 gifts as she is 16 years' old.we put the 16 gifts in 16 different places and she found it collecting clues.actually, she found 15 gifts and we said her that her 16th gift is we ourselves and she loved the 16th gift the most.

this was one way of celebrating a birthday.now, the 5 of us want to celebrate suchitra's birthday.we can't repeat the same thing!so,i need a creative idea from you guys that would help us celebrate suchitra's b-day at school.she needs to get a blast on her b-day!so,please share your ideas with me.

thanks a lot in advance!..................

Awww that's soooo cute! I love your idea for the first one lol <3 Hmm that's a toughie! Maybe you could leave notes/surprises around the places she goes everyday! Like, one on her car or the door of her house, or one at her locker in school, or a seat in class. Orr maybe you could go to her first period class and wrap a bouquet of balloons around her seat and pin notes and signs around it(: Or! You could give her presents that start with each letter of happy birthday? I.E. A hersheys king for the 'h' in happy. Lol sorry I'm not as creative as you guys are! But I hope she loves whatever you guys make her!(:
