What are some good gift ideas for a grandmother's birthday?

My grandmother is in her 80's and recently went through some major surgery. She loves pictures but she has a ton of them along with random knickknacks. She lives in an apartment now so she has limited space. Any ideas for a birthday gift are appreciated.
My father actually got her a digital picture frame for Christmas... Thanks though! I think it might actually be one of her favorite gifts.

What to get the father who has everything?

He is 45. The one idea I had I am using for his birthday gift which is next week.
He is into carpentry, home improvement, fishing, cars, music but he has everything he could possibly need in every one of those categories!

Any creative ideas, or something I may not have though of?

A car themed calendar, a car kit with cleaning rags, wax, a gas car, an air freshener, oil, tire gages, etc. A new fishing rod, tickets to a concert, a new tool or tool kit, a coffee mug with a picture of the family on it, a nice dress shirt, tie, or cuff links, a scrapbook or collage with pictures of the family, a bottle of cologne, a gift card to an outdoor shop or home improvement store, maybe you could carve him something out of wood, since he is a carpenter I bet he would appreciate that, a gift card to his favorite store or restaurant, his favorite kinds of candy, bake his favorite kind of cookie. My teachers birthday is in February and i want to get him something nice, to show him my appreciation for all that he has done for me.

Something he uses; from now till January, notice his things or his hobbies. A wallet can always be appreciated, as men are prone to warp their wallets in their back pockets till they get ratty. If he uses a tie, you can also do that, or a belt, if you can estimate his waist size. Anything that has to do with his hobbies is also a good gift. A personalized mug is cute, can be meaningful, and cost is manageable.

You can also get picture frames. If your class will pitch in, a digital frame is a nice idea; if you have a compilation of pix of him with the class and other faculty, you can load it in; in fact if you can be in cahoots with his family, you can load those too. So it's almost her birthday and I wanna get her something shell really love. She's into colorful things, cupcakes, Disney, unicorns basically all little kid stuff. Haha she doesn't wear jewelry. So any ideas?

It's easy to make your own cupcake. Just find the recipe in the web. Or, I think journal is a great idea! Make your own. Use scrapbook paper for the cover and some paper, bind it with ribbon, fill it with stickers and pictures, oh and printout of the little kid stuff. Another good thing is bookmark. You can make your own by using card stock, ribbon, and pictures. It's all your own, but make sure it's handmade and of course, cute.
