it's my sister in laws birthday next week and i want to get her something cute like that says 'to my future sister in law' like a notebook or planner or something? do you know anymore ideas simliar? thanks!

I know nothing about wine, my brother & sister-in-law are wine people, my nephew will be 21 in a few weeks. I want something very special, maybe from his birth year. Please help. Thank you in advance.

I like the idea of getting a wine from their birth year. Pricey as ^&$* but how cool! I would do a vintage port from his birth year. Or I would get him a wine that ages great and tell him that you'll be there to drink it with him on his 31st birthday. A bordeaux or Chateauneuf du pape. But if they are not into wines, really, you'd be setting him/her up for dissapointment.

Our son will be 2 in August and my sister in law is asking what she can get for him and I know she's on a tight budget.
thanks! he already has most of those things and I always put any amount of money to him into his savings. perhaps he would like a dvd, he loves little einstines and they aren't always on!

Honestly, he won't remember this birthday. Therefore, considering these times, saving that money for his future might be a good idea. You could ask her to help fund college with that $20.

Or even just saving it for when he'll actually remember a birthday might be good. $20 off a bike when he's 6 isn't bad. Let's just hope that bike inflation doesn't go insane in the next four years.

I dunno, maybe he'd like a DVD.

My friend and I have always given each other gifts during our birthdays. I feel like our gift ideas are wacky like for my last one, i got a bottle of wine. I was thinking this year to give her a mix cd of songs she probably never heard from bands I love. Though I want to know if this is a good or bad gift idea?

I sister in law gave me a couple of CD's for christmas she made for me they were to cool, one was of old skating songs we use to listen to and then she gave me one of new music, I think it is a great gift!

I'm not sure what to get my nephew for his birthday he has alot of toys and he shares with his older brother too which he is a yr older then he is but also their mother home teaches them I'm just woundering if I should get him a teaching toy or books or what?

When my son turned four my sister-in-law gave him a wallet with money in it. This turned out to be a wonderful idea. It has tought him that things do cost money and it has tought him to keep track of things. He has had his wallet for four months now and he still has money in it. Everytime he gets a dollar he has to put it in his wallet.
