What is a good birthday present for a 16 year old boy that does not cost a ton of money?

My friend's son is turning 16 this week and I have no idea what to get him. My kids are much younger so I am not sure what is an appropriate gift for a teenage boy. Also, I wanted to keep it under $30 if possible.

How often do you notice the little differences in the ways peoples' brains work?

I have this toy puzzle thing with little pieces of wood and you have to make a pyramid. I have never been able to solve it,since it's pretty hard but I have a friend who sat down and put it together in less than 2 minutes.

Yet, that same friend can barely remember their own birthday and always asks me to remind them things.

To me, it's amazing how my brain is useless when it comes to those puzzles, but I have a very good long term memory compared to my friend.

Yes that is amazing. Albert Einstein changed the face of physics and science as we know it the man was a genius yet he couldn't even tie his damn shoes. I can Create and build a song from just scarp's of ideas yes I do have the help of modern day electronic technology but I do everything myself, I play guitar very well yet I can't even cook a damn cheese crisp, I even burn things in the microwave funny how things are like that. I am sure you have your gifts lil Barb you are a VERY young lady your gifts will unfold with time.
