My husband will be 25 and so far I am going with a tiki/luah theme. I am getting a pinata and filling it with adult gifts like mini liquor bottles, bottle openers, etc. I want to make some sort of tropical alcoholic punch. going on this line of thinking can somebody give me some cool ideas that will make the party flow. I am providing all the alcohol to help people show up. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

How about getting some grass skirts, and what about trying to get your guests/husband to do the limbo? I think putting a grass skirt on your tables/furniture is a good idea! When I think of surprise parties I think of BALLOONS!!! If you put strings on them and let them float to the ceiling is always fun!
You can get those flower 'necklaces' for everyone to wear, blue=guys and pink=girls? You could dress up! Wear some flowers in your hair!
If you make drinks you could add those umbrellas - an idea. You could get some music to match your party - look at www.hawaii-music.com and www.tikiroom.com/music/index.htm.
If the party is outside and runs into the night you could get lights to stream around your yard/house - lights that are flowers or close to that ides. Get some parrots to hang here and there. I think putting a LOT of candles on tables would accent things nicely! When decorating use BRIGHT colors!
You could try and look at your nearest Factory Card Outlet store or other party store for more decorations. Try getting a cake that is themed towards tiki/luah. Send out tropical invitations to those who will not tell him! Good Luck!

How did you celebrate your little one's first birthday?

My son is only 4 months...but I'm still just looking for ideas, and stories of how other families celebrated this great event!
Any stories people would like to share?
I'm very keen to hear them all (and maybe borrow a few of your ideas when the time arrives!)
