Teenager birthday gift?

LLMD

My son turns 17 on Sunday. Need help thinking of a gift. He likes to go out to eat with friends, so we will probably get him a gift card to a restaurant. He does not drive yet. He already has wayyyy to many clothes. He does like to play XBox Live (the game where you're shooting at zombies). Would a video game chair/rocker be a good idea? Any ideas would be appreciated!

Answer
It is always better to be guided by what the person likes when choosing a gift for him or her. As you point out, something in the line of video games that he likes would do. But you can shop around for other ideas too.

Theme ideas for an 18th birthday party?:D?

Theperson.

I'm a girl.
I'm turning 18 on the 29th. My party will be that weekend.

I need an AMAZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING theme.

I don't want anything "era" related, I just had a 50's party last year.

I don't care what it is, I just need something that I can have A BAJILLION AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of decorations for!:DDDDDD

IDEAS! Thanks! I want something unique, or just traditional and cool!:DDD
THANKS!:DDDDD<333.

Answer
1) Zombie apocalypse? You could have people do their make-up like the undead, hand out little gift bags of "survival gear", and have brain cookies.
2) TV-show related, like How I Met You Mother or The Big Bang Theory, or even a karaoke party in the theme of American Idol or the Voice.

What should I get my boyfriend for Christmas/Birthday?

Reagan

We're both 13. For his birthday, i want to get him a build-a-bear. Do you think it's too cheesy? He like's minecraft. I want to get something minecraft related for Christmas. Ideas? His birthday is April 6. Thanks! 10 points for the best answer!!

Answer
Well, the build-a-bear could depend on what personality your boyfriend has, but usually guys aren't too big on teddy bears, but it is a sweet idea.

As far as minecraft items go, if you really want to, you could look online like amazon. I would suggest thinkgeek: www.thinkgeek.com/interests/minecraft
They have some cool stuff.

But, usually I go for either gifts that he could actually use or make a hand made, personalized gift. Or combine the two. For instance, for me and my boyfriend's 10 month anniversary, I got him 10 things that he could use but made links to how they reminded me of him. Like I bought scotch tape and tied a label to it that said "Because you hold me together when I'm falling apart" and a box of crayons that said "Because you add color to my world" and a wallet (he needed one) that said "Because I wouldn't trade you for all the money in the world" and other things like that. It sounds uber cheesy, but he told me it was an amazing gift.

Also, for my boyfriend's birthday before going off to college, I bought a bankers box and painted it to look metal and old and stencilled "Zombie Survival Kit" on the lid (he loves zombies) and put things that he could use at college inside.

Overall, I say go for something that would actually end up being used and try to make it something personal. That has always gone over the best for me.

What to put in a zombie gift basket?

zombie birthday gift ideas image

countryy_g

im making a zombie gift basket for my dad, for his birthday, and so far I put 3 zomie movies, two books about zombies and idk what else to put in it. Any ideas? and it has to be somewhere locale because his bday is in two days! and im in delaware!

Answer
Both the Gummy worms and "zombie repellent" are good ideas
bottle of wine (zombie blood)

Cut out zombie pictures and make a bookmark or pencil holder

Use an empty jar or soup can to make a pen/pencil holders - take the label off and wrap them in fabric or colored paper and decorate them with pictures of zombies.

Make a laminated bookmark: find pictures of zombies - it can be a few small pics or just one, glue it to construction paper (you can make it two-sided), make sure you know how wide you want it to be before you start with the glue, then take it to Staples/Office Max, Office Depot or a store like that and get it laminated, then cut it. After hole-punch the top and put a ribbon or twine of some kind through the hole and tie it in a knot. You can even skip laminating it.

What are some good games for a children's halloween party for ages 2 all the way to age 14?

still wait

I'm doing a halloween/birthday party for my daughter, who is turning 2 on October 29th. We're going to have a variety of ages there, from age 2 to age 14. We are expecting 20-30 children, and want to keep them all entertained.

We already found a game called "ghost bowling", where you paint coke bottles white and put little ghost faces on them and let the kids bowl. We also are going to have a "mummy beauty pageant", where kids wrap one person from their group with toilet paper. But the party is going to be three hours long...Any ideas? Thanks!
