What are some ideas for a funny gift to give a woman turning 50 years old? I know there are some good ideas out there!

I'm a-fixin' to turn 50 in August, and as much as I've tried to dissuade hubby, I can't get him to not prepare some 'event' with my family.
I hated turning 30 (asked fam to ignore me-they did) very happy
I turned 40 and was positive and had a nice dinner.
Now that I'm turning 50, I feel bummed again like before I turned 30.
So, all I can say is to consider the sensativities of the person, and if they're real outgoing and party-like, then bring it on!
If they are private, then please respect that and keep it low-key.
For my 40th, family & friends did this:
Deck of cards for 40 yr old
Walking stick that had a rear-view mirror attached
"over the hill" baseball cap
stuffed weiner dog that everyone signed
silly glasses for seeing
black icing on cake
candles that would not stop burning
false teeth
"horn" for helping to hear
Guide of Retirement Communities
Denture Cream, Suppositories, other type personal effects

Help! I need to buy a birthday gift for my aunt who is turning 60? Any ideas!?

Think Betty Crocker meets June Cleaver! My aunt is wonderful and I a stumped! We are planning a big dinner and I need to get the perfect gift. Money is always the issue so I unfourtunatly cant afford to spend more that $40 or $50. I need something nice...maybe a new gaget, kitchen/ house stuff etc...Please help!

most people at 60 have all the houshold items they want and need. and these gifts are not personal or memorable.find something she likes to do, like eat out and get a gift certificate to her favorite restaurant. a favorite hobby. perhaps you have a talent or a hobby and you could make something for her she would love that ! but, be creative. the presentation of the gift or even gift certificate is important. a nice gift bag, with some fresh flowers tucked in or something like that.does she like to stay in / go out. movie tickets, pizza gift certificates ? a small, inexpensive pendant, just from you for her, for a keepsake. most women have chains, so you dont need to buy one. a certificate for a pedicure ? if you love her dearly, you will know what she loves, and this will bring you to the gift.

My sister is turning 40 and I can't think of the just right gift for her. She is married and they are financially very comfortable and she is able to buy pretty much whatever she wants and does. I however am on a pretty small budget but want to get her something special. I have already over done the coupons, massages, scrapbooks, baby sitting offers, etc. I am stumped. Her husband is throwing her a huge surprise party which I am helping organize but when it comes to the gift I am at a loss. If anyone can provide some ideas or inspiration I would be so grateful.

What is a good brithday present you can buy at Walgreens? How much?
And it has to be big enough so I can carry it home with my books and backpack.Its a 30 minute walk from school to walgreens, then its a 40 min. walk back home.
My moms brithday is on Monday, so I'm going to buy her a surpise present monday =) (where i live theirs no shops or malls so it had to be from walgreens.)
or mabye even the thirf store,but thats farther.

Walgreens wouldn't be my first choice for a birthday present, but I think you could come up with something. They have a lot more gift items in now because of the holidays.

Perfume sounds like a nice idea, but in reality it's really hard to buy for someone else, especially when you're looking for something cheap. Maybe better to go for something like bath soaps or something.

You can buy a box of assorted chocolates. That's a good go-to gift in a pinch.

Since you say there aren't stores around you, I'm guessing you live in a small town or something? Someplace where people are more likely to be friendly and helpful? I ask because your best bet may be to ask one of the employees at Walgreens to help you. They'll have a good idea of the sort of things that are in the store, and you may even find a woman your mom's age who can advise you.

So my family is throwing a suprise birthday party for my cousin who's turning 40. I need ideas for a gift. She's kind of boring, too old for her age type of person. and I'm 9 years younger so I'm not sure what to get her. Any ideas will be helpful.

I have a friend who will be turning 32 soon, he gave me some terribly embarassing gifts for my birthday AT WORK IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. I want some inexpensive (like under 35-40 dollars) gag gift ideas, and where can I buy them? I was thinking something like "Obese naked women novelty playing cards" but I can't find any online. Any ideas? I will give points for the best answer! Thanks everyone!

Also, does anyone know where I canbuy playing cards with FAT naked women on them, I've seen the ones with just plain naked women on them

Candy thong from either Hot topic or Spencers. They have little maid outfits that he might adore wearing, lol.
They have candy brazeers as well. I picked up some fake breasts somewhere in the mall last week because my friend always complains about being flat chested, maybe you should try something along those lines?
And the naked women you might find at Spencers in their gift card stand thngy.

The group can pool your money together and give her a gift card to a restaurant. Give enough for her to take her husband if married and if not she can take someone special. Or a gift card to a department store. Just don't give an over the hill prank gift. Forty is a difficult age for some people and she may be having a hard time with her age at this point.

You haven't mentioned anything about your birthday person or whether they're a female or male, which might make a difference in your choice of themes. Turning 40 for men is different than turning 40 for women! Anyway, if you are having a birthday "girl", I'd suggest underplayed elegance with a side of humor. Think about flowers for the center pieces. Party favors might be edible ones, such as See's truffles either in their box's with ribbon or in tule with flowers and ribbon. Or, you can consider gift bags, which seem to be a rage these days, and include: chocolate, a nice pen, a favorite poem about getting older and the joys of menopause, bubble bath et al. On the wild side, you could use a theme about women coming into the best times of their lives sexually and emotionally and go from there. For the guys? Well, humor goes a long long way here.
