Q. me and my dad aren't close at all, so i would like a gift that might bring us closer and help us get along better. any ideas? my dads a very manly man, sports fan, etc. but i dont have much money so i need inexpensive ideas please! thank you!

Birthday ideas for my dad?

My dad is turning 52 in 28 days. I have no idea what to get him! I was thinking of an ipod nano with the arm band for when he's gardening or something, but I don't think he would use it that much.

Also, what should I do on his birthday? I'm thinking of hiring a private room in a restaurant for close family and friends for a nice lunch...

Any ideas you may have would be very helpful!

A family get together would be a great idea to celebrate his birthday. As for a gift give him something personal that is unique to his interests or hobbies. What does he like to do? How does he spend his "ME" time. Viewing sports, reading, fishing, golfing,
puzzles etc. I'm certain you've had a few hints in his time. He won't feel comfortable telling you or asking for something. It's a Dad thing. Give it some thought, you'll do fine.

My dad's birthday is coming up. I was hoping to get some ideas for a good gift idea that will make him feel special. I was thinking a new hard drive for his computer to speed it up, but would like to get something more personal. Thank you for your help.

you can get him something to wear...watch would be nice..can compile or buy some of his favourite music..can get him a gift basket with chocolates, flowers, cake and some personalised mugs which have the picture of two of you..make him a scrapbook with some or most of your pictures..perfumes maybe.

go to a gift shop and get him a novelty gift , like something funny , and not something a bit queezy like a dad or mum would give him , make it like teenage and something funny - or something radio controlled!!! :D
