Playlist Ideas For My Man's Birthday Gift?

My boyfriend of 3 yrs has his 29th birthday coming up later this month. This year i want to give him one gift everyday for the week leading up to his actual birthday, with each gift getting better and better.. One of the smaller gifts i want to give him is a mix cd or 2, one with some good 90's r&b, and one with probably some rap from the same era. He is a few years older than me and i didn't listening to that music in the 90's like he did, so i need suggestions on a playlist. Obviously, i cant spend a fortune for each gift so i've tried to choose somethings that are relatively inexpensive, so if you have any ideas for small thoughtful gifts let me know. I don't wanna be TOO romantic and not get him things he would like, but i don't want to be too practical and boring either.

I'm tired of the typical clothes, cologne type gifts so i really need some help this year lol Any and all ideas for gifts and the playlist is GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks in advance for the help!

How do I throw a 30th Birthday Party for my single friend?

My single girlfriend is turn 30 this year. Does anyone have an clever ideas for decorations or a theme?

I'm single and also turning 30 this year. Hey, maybe you're my friend and this party is for me! ha! just kidding... ;)

If she's anything like me, and dreads turning 30, the last thing I want is to have people rubbing my new age-bracket in my face. Who wants to be reminded of how old they are getting when they're still single? So forego any "Over-the-Hill" type of decorations, or anything referring to "Old Maid" (I absolutely HATE that term!!!) Here are some parties that she may like:

-Honestly, I think a dinner party with her closest friends would be the best. Make reservations at her favorite restaurant and make a fun night of it. Take pictures!
-If she hates the thought of turning 30, do a "Happy 1st Anniversary of turning 29" party. Have 29 pink candles and 1 white candle decorating a white-frosted cake.
-Decorate the party like the 70's since that was the year she was born and have everyone wear 70's attire and play 70's music. Have 70's style posters decorating the room and maybe a history board of pictures of her growing through the years.
-Or if she's a fan of the 80's, throw an 80's style party, same idea as the 70's version...
-Or perhaps if she's a movie buff, have a party of "Big Movie Hits of the Last Three Decades". Have everyone dress up as their favorite movie character over the last 30 years.
-Maybe have people bring inexpensive gifts in thirty's. Thirty candy bars, thirty birthday cards about turning 30, a mixed CD with 30 songs on it, etc. Let your guests be the creative ones too.
-Murder mystery parties are awesome.
-Perhaps if you and her close friends can afford it, go on a road trip somewhere and celebrate. Vegas, Atlantic City, etc.

I don't suggest strippers or strip clubs. To me, that's fun in your early 20's. Turning 30 is a big step and the party shouldn't be reduced to something silly, unless she would like that...? *shrug*

***The most important part: Whatever you decide to do, invite men and women. If any of your guests have any potentional, great single men, bring them along! The more the single men, the merrier, right? ;)

Family Problems :( (Fathers day)?

Earlier this week, it was my birthday (turned 15; boy) . I waited all day expecting a call from my father (My parents are divorced). I gave up at 7:00 in the evening. I was feeling oretty bad, as even people i didnt know were wishing me a happy birthday on MySpace. At 1130 PM, I got a txt that only read "happy birthday". Im pretty sure he forgot (even though he saw me 3 days earlier and got me a present.) He also blew me off on July 4th and made plans with his friends.
He wants me to go with him on fathers day to some annual father's day car show. we've been going since I was 4 with his friend (whos a weird gay biker). its going to be 80 degrees and i really don't want to go. I called my dad and told him i didnt really want to go. He was mad and tried to put the guilt trip on to me. Then, i asked him about why he didnt call me on my birthday. He had an excuse (like usual).
What should i do? should I go or not? Help me!!!

In this economy where men are stressed because over 80% of layoffs are men, and you're wondering why he forgot about your birthday? I forgot that Sunday was Father's Day until Wednesday of this week. Men are lucky right now to remember our own birthdays, if someone didn't remind us.

He fed and housed you. If he hadn't picked your mother to be his wife, you would not exist.

It's up to you what to do, but remember, if not for him, you would not have a birthday at all.

Add to any gift a list of the reasons why you appreciate him. Perhaps have it inscribed on a wall plague.

Please don't get a joke card. In my 20+ years of working with fathers, it has been rare that a joke card that makes fun of his abilities is really appreciated.

I wrote this to "Dear Abby" for Father's Day, March 19, 2005.

APPRECIATION FOR JOB WELL DONE IS WHAT FATHERS WANT TO HEAR

DEAR ABBY: Today is Father's Day, so why don't we try to do more for dear old Dad than give him the usual greeting card that promotes the idea that all dads are imbeciles, followed by a collect call to see what he thought of the card. (Father's Day is the day when the most collect calls are made.)

We should treat our fathers the way we treat our mothers on Mother's Day and show them we appreciate them for being there. Yes, you probably tell your father all the time that you love him, but the minds of men work differently. Anyone can say "I love you," but as men, knowing that we are appreciated for a job well done is what really gets us teary-eyed.

Something else you can do -- especially you sons out there (but daughters can do it, too) -- is to make sure Dad has been to the doctor for a checkup, including depression screening. This can go a long way toward making sure he's here on Father's Day next year.

I wasn't raised by my father, but by a stepfather. Although we did not see eye-to-eye on many things, I would not be the person I am today if it were not for him. This man, who spent years climbing on top of heavy construction equipment to prepare the ground for many of the homes, businesses, roads and highways of Southern California, now finds it difficult to get into a car. Although none of the houses or roads have his name on them, they are all testaments to his life and the lives of men like him.

So today, let's do something extra for Dad, without him pulling out his wallet to pay for it. -- George McCasland, Overland Park, Kansas

Alright yall, I got an iTunes gift card for my birthday and as I don't use iTunes much (90% of my songs are CD) and I've run out of song ideas. I go to look up something and then remember, oh nevermind I have that! SO I need a little help here from all yall country music fans.....I need some song suggestions!
